So I updated Animal Crossing: New Leaf today. I must say I am very happy with the result.
Perks:
Perks:
- More floor space now that I can hang shirts and dresses on the wall, including Pro designs.
- Nook has a new feature for the house: a secret storeroom! Perfect for all those rare collectibles that I don't plan on putting in my house. Now I don't have to leave them lying around town, and my regular storage locker will get tidied up.
- The sprinkler and law mower can be ordered again, after some error in the first version had them not orderable.
- You can interact with objects right in front of you while you're sitting down. Convenient! I honked the horn in Jingle's RV.
- Stools now double as tables.
- There's a button on the touch screen you can use to get home from Club Tortimer Island instantly, so now greedy trolls can't trap you anymore!
- You can shake trees while holding a tool (except for the shovel and axe!). This makes catching bees, spiders, and bagworms easier.
Setbacks:
- The butterfly wall and ladybug carpet are no longer orderable. This makes sense, since the error regarding the sprinkler and lawn mower was likely the same error that made these insect items orderable. They just got swapped.
- The campsite doesn't take bells. A little inconvenient.
- You still can't order refurbished furniture from the HHA Showcase. BUT you can order refurbished furniture from an RV...
- The ability to shake trees while holding a tool makes catching other bugs a bit difficult if you're surrounded by trees.
- I can't find the new RV amiibo cards featuring the old villagers (Bea!) in stores. Just as well, since they come in randomized packs. I did find a website where you can buy them individually, but Bea costs $20.00 (USD).
- I haven't found that NFC amiibo reader in stores, so I wouldn't be able to scan an amiibo for an RV anyway.

It was a year and a half longer than it should have been, but I just got my last grade in. I am officially done with university. Today was the first day in a long time that I could sleep in late without feeling bad, but I woke up early feeling refreshed, and I couldn't fall back asleep. Go figure.

No stress on Valentine's Day
Once I realized that I don't HAVE to concern myself with the pressure to have a significant other, and it's 100% okay to be comfortable with the single life and my wonderful, loving, platonic and familial relationships, Valentine's Day has been a lot less stressful.
The only thing I worry about on V-Day now is getting my hands on Reese's Hearts (but I always try to get Reese's holiday shapes every season — next up is Easter!), and displaying a funny Valentine's Day comic strip in my room.
Remember, being single on Valentine's Day is not a tragedy! Your relationship status does not define who you are or affect your value as a person!
